@RIG
Do you really want us to tell you? I don’t mean to be snide with this, it’s an honest question: do you really want to understand people’s problem? Because half the time the line we hear is “Shut up already we’ve already heard everything you could possibly say!” and the other half is people saying “I wonder what’s got those guys so worked up.”
It’s a bit of a contradiction, that causes me to be a bit more hesitant in entering this debate than others, you see.
@Sjogre
well, no one over here complained about that (of course, we were kids and we only care for FIGHTS! FIGHTS! FIGHTS!) anyway, forget i asked that, i better return to my neutral stance.
You think that no one complained about Goku’s friends being left in the dirt?
Anyway, Dragon Ball was all about getting stronger. That isn’t the case with FiM. Twilight’s transformation doesn’t gel with the themes of the show in any way, it’s… Just kinda random.
Even looking at it from the perspective of strength, as the leader of the wielders of the Elements, she was already effectively the most powerful character in the show. Strength as a single person just isn’t important.
there is something i don’t understand…she is the fucking main characters and main characters always get power ups, this is the first time i ever see people bitch about a main character getting upgrade, no one bitched when Goku became a super saiyan.
@PwnyPony @K_A
According to Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell, she was given castle quarters, but doesn’t care about them and remains in Ponyville.
I have an underlying feeling that she will use her magic to remove her wings whenever she pleases in S4. Will the writers do this to ease the Alicorn drama? I doubt it, but I think it would be a cool feature for Twilight.
@PwnyPony
I’m sure that’s just toy canon. If that’s one of her soundbytes, I guess we’ll get a sequel to the Celestia-throwing meme. Actually, that could end tragically since the toy looks rather fragile. :(
You will never get to spend a day with Twilight in her castle, reading books with her and hearing her stories about pony history.
but something did die inside of me after witnessing this commercial.
(Alright I get it, they are trying to sell their dolls to the younger audience. It still burns my eyes though)
