Description
To anyone who is wholly familiar with both settings and stories, few seemed to understand that the Soapboxer has absolutely zero going on with her character than our favorite Stable-Dwelling “Toaster Repair Pony”, no matter how many G5 Defenders try to squeal and protest against these facts or complain about the notions of “Canon versus Fanon”: when it shouldn’t even be a factor when the writing in G5 is shit as it is. The difference between the two ponies is that one is an actual character, and the other is a marketing team product.
For those that can’t read the fonts it says:
Sunny Starscout:
- Treats her friends with Tokenism based on them “Not Being Earth Ponies”.
- Spent all her time Preaching and Soapboxing in Maretime Bay for Unity between The Tribes: without once trying to provide EVIDENCE to back up her talk with.
- Doesn’t do anything to contribute to forwarding the plot on her own, and relies on Plot Contrivances and her Companions to actually do the heavy-lifting on her quest.
- Constantly jumps to conclusions without thinking things through.
- Gives up too quickly when things don’t seem to go as she imagined.
- Was made into an Alicorn just by the virtue of her being the Main Character.
Littlepip:
- Took the time to learn about her friends and treat them as equals.
- Managed to leave home and survive the Wasteland using her skills and wit.
- Picks up and learns valuable skills that she brings to the group dynamic.
- Patient and carefully considers all information before reaching a decision.
- Keeps pushing onwards, despite her physical and emotional scars.
- Earned her Main Character status based entirely on her own abilities, merits, and determination: WITHOUT becoming an Alicorn.
“The Greatest Wars in Tellarite history were described to be less about Resources, and more about Ideals and ways of Thinking. How it was to Speak, Act, and Behave: what was Important to the society. In-essence, these views also led to a cessation of the Conflicts.”
This is what makes Tellarites some of the best Politicians within the Alpha Quadrant, and why they are one of the four races that helped to form The United Federation of Planets. Debate is a natural part of life as it is a natural part of Conversation, to have people say otherwise is to be close-minded and defeatist.

I understand your point, but I have learned that having an opinion is oftentimes more harmful than good. I might not agree with other countries that often discourage opinions, but I can at least understand why. It’s all a matter of perspective.

Personally I see G4 fans trying to ruin the parade of anyone who likes any other gen, especially G5 fans minding their own business
In my experiences with the fandom, it’s usually the other show that causes a ton of controversy should anyone insult G5. And this isn’t just whenever I’m participating in the discussions.

This is not a very productive discussion and at this rate we’re going to get the image pulled down.
They enjoy trashing other gens but you dare make fun of G4 then heads will roll

…and yet, G4 was built from the ground-up as this expansive fantasy world complete with a varied ecosystem of mundane and mythical creatures, along with an easily identifiable magic system that governed a multitude of aspects for the Ponies: the very same universe that G5 was erroneously built into and is a part of. So forgive me for expecting something meaningful and deep to justify warranting this level of detail and comparison being made by us G4 fans.
@xombiekilla
I’ve had several bad experiences in the past with G5 Fans constantly harranguing and stating that crucial writing elements like “Character Arcs” and “The Heroes’ Journey” are no longer needed in storytelling that need to be abandoned: which is complete bullshit due to the fact that these dtory elements are meant to get people invested in the Main characters and thus drive the audiences’ support towards the program in question.
This isn’t designed to be a criticism of Mlp G5’s completely Non-Canon “GO!-Clone”, only a criticism of the Pilot Movie and Flagship Series. Though if we really want to bring the 2D show and the Videogame into the mix, I will state that it’s quite clear that the writing and animation teams were never on the same page for G5: in that they had abso-fuckin-lutely no idea on where even this story was supposed to be even going in: as shown with how the Videogame basically poorly recycles the events of The Movies’ finale: despite the fact that it’s supposed to take place at least a few weeks following the events of the Movie, or how the festival from the Game is shown in Chapter One of G5 and goes through a completely different plotline.

*Magic Systems and how they Work.

Same thing applies to G4 fans
You don’t need to belittle other generations to enjoy “yours”.
So G5 fans aren’t allowed to enjoy what they want? Sounds like petty purist behavior
You were doing it on the specific image the character appears in where people who like that character could see and get frustrated by your comments. You could have just done it in forums or just filtered it. It’s like going to a McDonald’s and announcing loudly their meal sucks when you specifically chose to go there.
Aren’t you that guy who constantly got into arguments on the Gen 5 group on Fimfiction and got banned for it or something? But anyway, none of that has literally anything to do with the production teams of the shows. It’s possible that Hasbro wanted to compete with Trollhunters and the like on Netflix, but it’s well known by now that the company all but backtracked on whatever it is it wanted to do with this generation the moment the new CEO took charge.

…and G5 snobs will try to defend poor choices they’ve made to justify their actions no matter what and try to drag other people down to their level; thinking that G5 is the best thing since sliced bread simply because they haven’t bothered to read literary classics or watch timeless shows in their life for an informed comparison of the works, and never accept the truth of how G5 is a work that’ll ultimately be unable to stand the test of time.
If anything, the G5 Fans should take a page from Something Witty Entertainments’ Playbook and create their own Abridged Series that pokes fun of the G5 Series similar to what was done in SAO.

True in some regards, but how many of those same kids that this show is meant to appeal to have a NetFlix subscription? Since the only way to go and watch G5 is on NetFlix; and I’ve checked a multitude of both Watch Hubs and broadcast sites, and I’ve yet to find one that has “Mim” in its library: meaning that it’s too much of an anal fissure to bother Pirating. That more than likely 2/3 of the Audience that have the means of watching this show would be parents who originally watched G4 as kids, and will be completely turned off from wanting to pay more money to watch not just a show that is a lower-quality sequel to their favorite series, but also unceremoniously takes a dump on both the legacy of G4 and serves as a blatant insult to basic storytelling principles like Worldbuilding, Character Arcs, and “The Heroes’ Journey”.

Except Pipp’s world was largely without magic for centuries, and the fantastical creatures were also gone. I think people also overlook how many of today’s kids have an ipad or phone, and watch streamers. Pipp’s character is meant as a role model for today’s kids.
I like how literally everyone can agree Mako was the worst lol
I was referring to Korra and Mako. Mainly Mako.
