More so, ivermectin is a antiparasitic drug meant to get rid of parasites such as worms, hence deworming.
The podcaster, I think you’re referring to, is Joe Rogan and he did to my knowledge take ivermectin, but it was the one used for humans not the one for farm animals.

It’s a long story from 2021 but…a podcaster took to Instagram to say that he’s been given a lot of different meds to fight his COVID infection, mainstream news lied and said he took horse dewormer paste, thus this comic.
