So I was in a siren art pack a while back that was just released for free, so here’s my contribution to it :D

It’s not painful in the least. A universal constant among emotion eaters, like changelings, cubi, sirens, and the like, is the whole experience feels absolutely amazing. Can’t have those eggs tainted with negative emotions caused by pain or fear, after all :P
