A cold wind sweeps through Equestria as the powers of darkness returns to the land. The prophesied time has arrived. Above Canterlot the sky ruptures and a shimmering, umber maw blinks into existence. Purple tendrils pouring from the rift lap at the night air, searching for their Master.
Princess Luna wakes up with a start. Her job was to traverse the realm of dreams, rarely did she experience a night-time scare. Something was off, though she was unable to place it. As she looks out the window to the moon a horrible thought pulls at her conscience.
Letting out a deep sigh Luna whispers “Is it that time already?”
