Well, I didn’t look at the series about cutie marks from that angle. It always seemed to me that the childish image of Fluttershy was referring to real foals. They’re just as lanky and clumsy on their long legs.
By the way, because of one hidden tag, I didn’t see Twilight’s solo image.

Well i always thought fluttershy being a gentle giant was funny and since the episode that show how they got their cutie marks shows fluttershy as a tall filly it just felt right,and for my au it doesnt change that much with sunset, this line up its just my designs together,in the twilight ref she is also there as an alicorn :] (yeah inkrred here, just passing through but i saw the question and wanted to answer you)

they all look just gorgeous. one question is purely out of interest: why is Fluttershy so tall?
In my opinion, she would be on the same level as Twilight and Rainbow.
It would also be interesting to know how the events of EG have changed, given that Sunset has a diary in her hands for communicating with Twilight, but Twilight herself is not an alicorn.
