Also too, despite actually being really strong and having deadly venom, she’s so gentle she would never, under any circumstance, actually hurt someone, so not even card effects can make it happen. She’s like Papyrus from Undertale XD

Well a level 4 3000 attack beatstick would be busted, but she’d only last a single turn, since Shield & Sword only swaps attack and defense for a turn. At the end of the turn, her 3000 points would go back to defense, and she’d be stuck in attack position with no attack power.

She’s pretty well-defended against that sort of strategy. Being able to get a 3000 attack monster out for that easy would be way too broken XD

Lack of oversight on my part. Yeah, Mean Kali could be the Dark Elf to Kali’s Mystic Elf

If it weren’t for her effects, your suggested strat would make her quite a powerful one turn beatstick.
I definitely think that’d be good for a card of Mean Kali though.

All you need is the opponent to use Defense Paralysis while you use Sword and Shield and you have yourself an adorable powerhouse

Indeed. They have their own version of Hearthswarming where good little sneks either get a bag of burning materials or a bag of meat, and the idea is you find a friend who got what you didn’t get so you can cook a big feast together. Bad little sneks get a sack of turnips instead XD

The idea is, is the pony archetype is going to be about tanking, enduring, and recovering, until you put together an instant win condition, since that’s more or less how episodes in the show go: they sort of spiral until the power of friendship gives them a big victory. Kalianne is going to force you to either hold off until you can get a powerful enough monster to take her down, or blow a sweeping card to get rid of her, and since she’s easy to summon you don’t have to put resources into her: put her down and boom up :P

It would have been much more broken in the early days, probably to the point she’d need to be 5 stars or have a stronger negative effect than “can’t attack”, but nowadays it’s so easy to sweep the field she’d probably even be an unlimited card is she’s basically just a big stone wall with no protection against card effects who can’t do anything. You summon her, and have 3000 defense to hide behind no more no less. Her big weakness though, is note her “change to defense” effect only kicks in if she’s “changed” to attack mode: if you summoned her with Changeling Drone she’d be stuck in attack mode and be completely useless. Even if you normal summon her, you either have to put her in face up attack or put her face-down and forego pony support cards :D

A trap or a spell where you pose a riddle to your opponent; if they answer correctly, they get an advantage of some sort (i.e. “draw 2 cards during your next draw phase”), but if they answer incorrectly, then they get a disadvantage (i.e. “skip your next draw phase”).

With modern day Yu-Gi-Oh and so many cards that could combo into eachother, it’s a pretty decent card on it’s own. I wouldn’t say it’s broken though since the only thing it can do is defend. It’s built to be a stall card that could save you a turn or two if you got nothing, but even then it’s not entirely safe.

She needs a bonus effect that negates the effects of anything that attacks her.

4 star and 3000 DEF, that’s kinda broken

Being sneks, they like warm.

When it gets cold, they get sleepy and sluggish.

Though there’s nothing wrong with a good snuggle by a warm fire.

How does this fit into the gameplan? Does it combo with other effects or just stall?

Do snek ponies like hearth warming?

A cute 40ft. snek who wouldn’t hurt a fly.
