Fun fact - to lose consciousness from chloroform you need to inhale it for several minutes to work, so even if you manage to get the cloth on someone’s muzzle… it’s still a long way from knocking them out.
The effect only lasts for few short minutes after the exposure (unless continued, but given the nature of the chemical it is ill advised due of danger of damaging target’s nervus system).
