(3) I’m pretty sure that Dash was able to fly again after this message. In the G5 comics, issue 2, we see a panel of pegasi flying above Pinkie and Little Cheese, apparently after the creation of the crystals. As well, the G5 bible, which I admit might not be completely canon anymore, states how the annual Unity Festival allowed magic to be kept active in new Equestria, which means pegasi were likely able to fly until pony society collapsed down the road. Plus the movie established that each of the pony tribes thought they were the only one to lose their magic. Meaning they must have kept their magic until well after the tribes broke up. G4-G5 era history already reflects rather poorly on Twilight’s ability to live up to the title of “Princess of Friendship” - if the breakup happened within the lifetime of the Mane Six, that would make things look a hell of a lot worse.
Those are just my thoughts, though. Perhaps I’m just a big dumb-dumb who’s still trying to cope with how G5 prematurely ended. Either way, if you want to discuss this with me, let’s do it in a way that the comments don’t end up locked down here, too. :)
And I’m just a big dumb-dumb who can’t get past the fact that there’s basically no excuse for Twilight and friends to be unable to resolve the Opaline situation without resorting to such drastic measures. This comic panel feels like rubbing salt on a wound.

Dash would have probably shown a bit more empathy, but you could be right. Zipp is just like “Okay lol.” Maybe she doesn’t really grasp the situation Dash is in. She’s all depressed because she has to give up the one thing she was working towards her whole life and her entire race will no longer be able to fly like they are meant to do. It’s all kinds of messed up how they decided to conclude this.
Anyway that’s the one takeaway I got from this image. Not some silly shipping nonsense that got the other comment section needlessly locked

All this talk of shipping and I’m just here to complain about how Dash pours her heart and soul into this tear jerking monologue and it just ends with Zipp giving some cheeky little quip. Like jeez read the room.

Magical Inkwell - Wrote MLP fanfiction consisting of at least around 1.5k words, and has a verified link to the platform of their choice

All you had to do was stop the story after the series finale. No more. At the very least, no matter how on bad a note G4 ended, you could’ve had it so it could not get any worse. You could’ve had G4 ride off into the sunset, warts and…warts, and let it end with us all having to give the benefit of the doubt.

Since the English post got its comments locked down, I’ll put my thoughts here that I wanted to mention.
Those are just my thoughts, though. Perhaps I’m just a big dumb-dumb who’s still trying to cope with how G5 prematurely ended. Either way, if you want to discuss this with me, let’s do it in a way that the comments don’t end up locked down here, too. :)

Since the English post got its comments locked down, I’ll put my thoughts here that I wanted to mention.
(1) Yay. Another Appledash implication. I never thought the relationship would work when they were younger and at each others throats at times, but I can see them getting closer to each other as they shimmered down with age.
(2) I know many are upset with how it seems like the Mane 6’s accomplishments were for nothing or in vain, given that Opaline caused Twilight to seal all of the world’s magic so early into her reign, and also given that pony society collapsed and divided even after Opaline’s defeat, but like Twilight said before the Legion of Doom was defeated, evil will always exist, but as long as their are those who carry out the principles of friendship taught by Twilight and her friends (e.g., Sunny), the Mane 6’s actions are never truly in vain. I at first was worried that the G4 gang’s actions meant nothing, but with the G5 gang reuniting Equestria and reviving magic, I’m no longer have that fear.

Yeah, I thought the ponies gradually just stopped getting along and that is what stopped the magic. This was Twiilight’s fail safe:

It only triggered because they fought not because the unity crystals existed. Perhaps the final part of this arc will make it connect with that. Comic canon also isn’t show canon but I think G5’s canon is more fragmentary in which outranks which (especially with the calculation of both MYM and TYT) . We shall see where it goes.

Considering that the icons are flooding the place with magic in G5 as long as there is harmony, the whole “Twilight is sealing away magic” is such an AU thing that the comics might as well be non-canon, just like the G4 comic—or Opaline’s doing.
