The official G5 bible states that it is at least 200 years in the future (more because that was exclusively just how long Twilight’s reign lasted). Do you think ponies usually live that long? I know there’s Granny Smith, but she isn’t exactly in butt-kicking condition, and neither would Luster be after that long. Only alicorns seem able to thrive for such long periods of time.
