Gladly. My 360 can surf the entire Internet(I’m on my 360’s Internet Explorer right now, actually), get Netflix, runs DVDs, and lets me play fun games. Who really needs the Xbox One?

Have you tried telling him that the only games the Xbox has over a PC is a generic zombie game that co-opted the name and basic mechanics of two much better zombie games for some unfathomable reason, Gears of War in Rome, and another damn Halo game? Or that anything he may have heard about Titanfall’s and MGS5’s exclusivity is outright lies? Or that a PC won’t force him to have a Kinect literally watching him fap? Or that not only can he borrow his friends’ games at no charge, but he can actually get free games for the PC and for most other previous consoles if he learns where to go (but he really shouldn’t)? Or that he can still keep playing his games years down the line because they won’t be reliant on a connection to Microsoft’s servers to be usable? Or that for that same reason, he more than likely won’t be able to do anything with the Xbox for several days upon release because the mass of idiots like him will bring Microsoft’s authentication servers to their knees (see also: Diablo 3 and SimCity 2013)? Or that he can still use his 360 controllers if he either has some wired ones lying around or gets an adapter for the wireless ones? Or that he doesn’t have to pay to play online beyond what he or his parents already pay for Internet anyway? Or that pretty much any time someone from Microsoft talks about the Xbox One, they keep lying out their asses, changing their stories, and/or dodging questions about its features and restrictions?
 
And if none of that works, he may be beyond all help as he is likely at one with the dudebro. Your best hope then is to attempt to sate him with an offering of double XP Mountain Dew bottle caps, as your attempts to convince him that his blind allegiance to the X is misguided will likely enrage and confuse him.

I use my desktop to play games these days (I don’t currently own a console but I do have a 3DS XL.) I use a 360 controller connected to my PC, most games these days have native support for it. Keyboard and mouse feel weird and unintuitive to me. I’ve been playing video games since 1978 so I don’t feel the need to justify my choices to anybody. I had consoles galore in the past, I just don’t have one now. The XBox One looks like a shit sandwich to me and I’m not touching it.

As a console gamer (and frozen food eater), I have to say that’s not too far off. The pros of consoles over PCs are shrinking and Microsoft seems to be trying to speed that process up. I remember the old days (Wow, I can actually say that.) when I could just put a game in the machine and play the game. No downloading, no legal waivers, no installations. Just games.
 
I don’t know if PS4, XB1, and WU will be the last generation, but two of them already sound like wannabe PCs. Isn’t it funny that in an age of speed and convenience driven markets, consoles want to bog themselves down?
 
I remember being so surprised by the original PS having memory cards that could transfer data between them. You could continue your game on someone else’s disc on a different machine. Progress made wasn’t left on the disc (like cartridge games like SMW) or lost forever. (I never did reach the aliens in The Tick.)

I have the same problem. I enjoyed Diablo for PS1 a whole lot back then. I still have that game. Then, I bought my very first PC. AT LAST, I CAN PLAY DIABLO 2!!! I… tried to play the game. I got confused by the whole control setup and there’s no way to plug in a dualshock controller. To this day, I never played any PC games ever just because I cant stand the mouse and keyboard controls.

Considering all the used games I’ve missed, that’s exactly what I’m gonna do.

Out of topic, I once remember someone told me tnat PC games are awesome, they burrowed me one, I can’t remember it right now it was a long ago, and played it……………., NEVER AGAIN, the idea of using the keyboard and mouse to play a game was very unorthodox for me……..
