Description

A screenshot of an alleged internal document reveals a third planned G5 My Little Pony series titled My Little Pony: Cutie Mark Club.
From what little we know, Cutie Mark Club was to be a series similar to Equestria Girls, but with G5 characters. It was to be “fashion-forward,” as “human characters extend relatability.” It also had a target audience slightly older than MYM and TYT.
Allegedly, it was originally planned to launch in May 2024, but was ultimately cancelled sometime in early 2023. The supposed G5 EQG dolls we’ve previously seen were shared in January 2023, so planning for Cutie Mark Club may have gone far enough for at least concepts and prototype dolls to have been made.
We don’t have a definitive source for this, so take this information with a grain of salt.

I completely agree. That’s why I’m asking @Tom416 aka @Background Pony #EC93 for links to the ‘announcement’ - because there isn’t one, aside from the ‘announcements’ they’ve posted here … ah, never mind, it’s all been deleted.
Sooo … fine. Anyway, I completely agree with you. I attend the shareholder calls whenever I can, or listen to them after the fact, and read what I can about the state of MLP in general (and globally) and I see a lot of reading through the lines that is being reported by some people as being both proof that the show is not canceled, and proof that it is canceled, or some of it is canceled, or all of it is canceled, or it’s going to be on for another decade.
My take on it is that we don’t know what they’re doing next, but we have some ideas. And I like some of what I’m hearing.

You know my secret insider information about why I’m so confident they’ll make more MLP? Because it makes money. A LOT of money. Sometimes more than almost anything else they’ve got short of Transformers. And there’s a lot of people who won’t have a job on Monday if the show suddenly didn’t exist. We’re talking about the real world where companies have leases and workers have mortgages and car payments and no one wants to be unemployed if all they have to do is come up with a clever and sellable concept for colored ponies.
Anyway. Yes, maybe parts of it are spinning down, and that’s freeing up assets that will be moved into new projects. And that means more ponies.

MYM being ages 4-6, understandable. TYT ages 4-7, I thought it was targeting younger than MYM. CMC ages 5-8, is that really different enough to warrant a separate show?
Does anyone have the ages FIM and EG were targeting?
