They totally would have pulled this.
I bet you, if FiM was still going on today. The show runners would likely have teased Hololive references or parodies.
I can absolutely see them putting in a background pony the resembles Hololivers or EqG having one of their characters do Vtubing. MOney is on Fluttershy being a Vtuber, it would totally suit her being able to stream behind a avatar.
