As a person recovering from years of acne and making a lot of progress, it still completely ruins my mood when I get breakouts. My boyfriend always says: one step forward, two steps back as this is how progress works. However it’s always hard for me when my days of feeling confident and having clear skin turn into a week of healing one certain pimple in a stupid spot (like right now in the middle of my forehead). It doesn’t only takes away my whole confidence but also makes me feel less worthy… like my opinion doesn’t matter cause I look ugly even though everyone around me always tells me how pretty I am.

It gets rough mentally but as the saying says there are no rainbows without the rain.
