G4 “fans”…
  • … tried to stalk underage actresses like Michelle Creber
  • … axed fan projects like Fighting is Magic by bringing them up in public at cons et al
  • … harassed actresses with such idiotic ideas as asking Nicole Oliver about Molestia
  • … tried to sue Hasbro for doing what the fans wanted them to (i.e. the “Derpy” incident)
“G4 purists” as defined here are not G4 fans, they are psychos who latch onto popular things because one of the main symptoms of a whole cluster of personality disorders is constantly begging for attention through conflict and vitriol

And I think they definitely mean the latter. Also, note how G5 was not (directly) brought up until you did so in your second comment - I’ve definitely seen this happen with G1 and G3 as well (not really G2 because almost no one remembers that)

From day one G5 was met with hate, it was never welcomed. It was a punching bag of G4purists bitter about G4 ending and wanted someone to take it out on. You’re just proving the point again, trying to exclude g5 from bronies when g5 had spillover from the bronies who could move on from the cult.

Let’s not forget that a majority of G5 fans are G4 fans too so referring to us as the purists is idiotic and very disingenuous. Infact your whole comment idiotic, disingenuous and selfish. When we talk about the G4 purists, we’re referring to the vocal majority and users like you for example.
Alot of users who weren’t interested in G5 or weren’t a fan left the fandom and moved on to other fandoms like Bluey (I imagine a big part of that shows success was G4 concluding). It should be clear that I don’t have a problem with those and I wouldn’t even refer to them as G4 purists.
