Friends Forever #2, one of the earliest comics.

Discord creates a shifting reality bubble to help the CMC get their cutie marks faster but gets more and more involved, expanding the bubble dangerously. Sweetie Bells thanks him for his efforts in trying to help them find their place, which makes him realize the reason he’s spending so much effort on doing so is because he wants the same.

They were probably in some sort of “Find out if your cutie mark is about defeating tyrants” scenario.
