Happy Birthday!
The bestest best trash on Derpi Background Basset is having a cakeday today; tried to draw them something nice for the occasion (had in plans to draw their OCs for quite a while and this seemed as a fitting time to finally do that) and produced this piece of garbage instead. Hope they still enjoy it to some extent though, idk if they even like cake… >__>’’’
The first panel is loosely inspired by Ventious’s “August”.
Might try to recolor it digitally later once I remember how to actually color lineart (my first attempt didn’t go so well so I had to pencils which as you can observe was also a disaster) but we’ll see.

I had a different idea at first (involving everypony celebrating) but decided that the group’s uhh arrangement in that one might be too difficult for me to pull off as of now plus the new idea to make it a comic seemed much better and a chance to try something (semi-)new. Again, glad you like it!
and it looks pretty good don’t beat yourself over it too much, just it being a comic is super cool, you did great ^^
