My head-canon: Sometimes changelings can return from taking a shape with some of the fears brought on from that previous shape. They just spent a day as a beetle and nearly got taken down by a spider…its sometimes hard to bounce back from that right away.
Spectrum’s having none of it though. The thing that used to haunt his dreams is now hiding behind him asking him to take care of a bug…. correction, arachnid.
