Description
I had the pleasure to work in this amazing character that we used as a template to create all MLP g5 characters after. Thanks to Boulder Media and Hasbro to delegate on me, the character modeling supervision and 3d vis dev. Sunny is the result of many people hard work and it couldnt look that cool if any of us didnt try their best, my character modeling team was awesome!!!. It took me a lot of tries to achieve a style in 3d that was recognizable as MLP with the new touch we wanted to give them. My friend @jonatancatalan was a revelation when he grabbed the 3d model and put some groom, shading and linghting on it, since then we knew we had finally our pony style, that evolved and improved but with a clear direction. I hope you enjoied the movie so far. I will upload few more images in the next few days.
Well I derailed it quicker than the fastest champion quick drawer so I’ll end it there.
Yeah you did. We can all read here.
I didn’t start it though.
Well, that’s awful.
Fat doesn’t equal ugly. Chubby characters are okay. She’s made to be unlikeable for whatever purpose that’s supposed to achieve. The fact she looks exactly like the author doesn’t help matters.
Fat=ugly. Got it.
To me, the only time a person is ugly is when they’re a terrible person, and maybe Mandy is bad because I have no idea who she is as a character, but from the screenshots, all I see is that she’s fat and short, and that makes her ugly, apparently.
…Huh.
They are, so I don’t see the point making ugly ones like Starfire’s non-canon daughter Mandy.
You mean women by default aren’t pretty?
(Within reason, of course. Wash yourselves, people.)
Because a lot of cartoons are designed for toy manufacturing first and animation last. Cartoons were and still are just marketing tools for toys rather than cartoons that sell toys.
Like what’s wrong with beautiful women?
Oh, and eyebrows.
