this is Criss Cross, my appledash fankid oc, her name has a couple of reasons so hang with me, so obviously it’s a play on criss-cross-applesauce, so we already have the apple connection, it’s also a saying that is sometimes reffered to in athletic activities, “cross” can be a reference to the crossing of the seasons (see below), and also to criss cross seemingly being the first pegasus pony to cross into the apple family.

as i see it rainbow overcorrected for her own parents’ over appraisal which made criss a little too humble, while applejack smothered her to make up for her parents not being around when she was little, making criss a bit of a pony-pleaser.
she works the farm at sweet apple achers, specifically she controls the weather in such a way to optimise the health, and plentifulness of the harvest, this is reflected in her design with her eyes looking like sunlight, and the colors of her mane and coat resembeling the shades leaves cycle through every year, she also keeps her mane tied because it is a bit wild.
