Everycreature can transform. They just need the damn pearl. Hippogriffs retain some of their physical traits when becoming sea ponies.

Assuming Seaquestria had at least one generation of natural sea pony births, said generation inherit their appearances from their sea pony progenitors who happen to have been hippogriffs some time before they conceived natural born sea ponies.

Sea ponies from Seaquestria, whichever species they were when they were first born, can become hippogriffs using either the pearl or pearl shards, and in doing so retain some aspects of their physical traits before they had changed species.

That’s the thing about the magic of both the pearl and changelings, it’s not illusory, astral, or interdimensional. They can and have become another Goddamn species within one plane for an indefinite period of time.

If pearl or changeling magic had a time limit, somecreature would have motherfucking said so.

Dragons, Seaponies/Hippogriffs, there are a lot more species that were in G4 to show up in G5. All that remains that are the same species as the Young 6 are the Yaks, the Griffons and the Changelings. I wonder if the loss of magic affected the Changelings as well.

pretty much! destiny even has double fins on her back. So shes also a Hippogriff. tho it doesnt appear that much, slow down the footage and you can see it when she spins.
