Fun fact: in the early days of animation, to save money it was common for cels (which were made of celluloid then, rather than the acetate used in later animation) to be wiped clean and reused after shooting. So the paint thinners (turpentine and acetone) used in Roger Rabbit’s “Dip” is actually pretty accurate.
