“Novo has quite a history with the griffon elder Grandpa Gruff. While he might come off as a crusty old buzzard, he does have proper respect for the Queen, as griffons and hippogriffs are distantly related. Gruff would always try to flirt with Novo, despite the fact that she was married, and once the hippogriffs returned from hiding, Novo has made countless visits to Griffonstone to catch up with old times.”
