Description
Twilight wakes up in a strange environment. Her eyes open and it doesn’t seem like her usual bedroom ceiling; rather, she sees strands of blue hair and just darkness all around her. As she gets up, she can hear loud breathing noises all around her.
“W-what is this strange world?” she says.
She looks directly below her and she can feel fur. And the fur is not of the brightly colored fur of her friends, but the fur resembles of darkness and the underworld.
“I don’t have a good feeling about this,” she gulps.
Curious, she turns her back and sees enormous eyes.
“Eeep!” she yelps.
“You’re mine now, Twilight,” Chrysalis says.
Chrysalis’s voice is deafening for poor, tiny Twilight. She looks around and below her again and she finds herself perched on top of Chrysalis’s muzzle. Twilight takes a step back and bumps onto Chrysalis’s forehead.
“N-no this can’t be,” she cries.
Made in GIMP. When I saw this Chrysalis creepy face on DeviantArt, I thought I wanted to just put a scared tiny pony there. And which pony better than Twilight! 😜
I was struggling on how to apply a dark overlay around Twilight, but I found I could use the layer mask to achieve this effect. The layer mask is such an important tool in GIMP and I’ll be using it a lot more in my next GIMP projects! I learned a lot from this piece.
