That might explain (partially) the popularity of tomatoes in Mexican cuisine. That, and tomatoes being native to Mexico and Central America, meaning that, much like peppers, they were really easy for Mayans and other indigenous cultures to cultivate them.
other products like vinegar or tomato, can help negate it as much as milk

Apparently there are a lot of people interested in exotic gastronomy here. Makes sense, since (IRL) the foreign food market in the US is the one that is growing at the fastest rate, with Mexican and Vietnamese cuisine becoming especially popular.
Mildly lactose intolerant, lol. I would never pick a fight with anyone, much less the milkman.
Are you lactose intolerant or did you have a fight with the milkman?
Since we are talking about chili peppers, you know that hot chocolate was served with chili peppers, it was a water-based drink.
the reason the name hot-pepper is that the Spaniards thought it was a kind of pepper, so they traveled back to Spain where they returned the chile milder in its heat, they returned it back to the new world and that chili is called “chile poblano”
Nope since again I don’t have a knowledge about Indian food. And yeah, I know mayans and nahuas used chilli for a long time, in fact pretty much a lot of cultures did that around that time. They even used the cacao beans as coins in some places. The people from Castilla and Aragon certainly added some additional meat and veggies to mix up things even more.
When did I mention water? I know that doesn’t work with high capsicum foods, lol. But I wouldn’t drink milk, either. The lactose content just doesn’t work for me.
That’s nice 🙂
Hi 👋🤗
interesting point.
the india food have more species and is the reason that it is more spicy
Edited
To be fair I have little knowledge from Indian cuisine so I cannot make a comparisson there.
no no water no, the Capsaicin dissolves in fats such as milk, in this case chocolate milk.
Huh I see, yet to be fair, I’m more familiar with Mexican then Indian, mainly for the taste and all.
Glad to see you still alive, LBF. I am a bit surprised to see you in this thread.
Very different. But both are spicy foods, just a different kind of spice.

Don’t eat Indian food, but I do consume a ton of hot sauce, lol.
Yeah, I wouldn’t ever want to have the antidote on anything.
not to be a racist here, yet isn’t Mexican food different from Indian?
yeah but you destroy the antidote to get rid of the enchilado
I think some of those ‘countermeasures’ made their way up here to the US, lol. Lots of Mexican food found around these parts, heh.
