In order to make a project easier and pending if the commissioner asked for something like so an so’s art in posing, some artist’s will as you mentioned, draw-over the general aspects (of posing ect) with their own style of art; thus while the art by dudey64 was used in direct reference, there’s enough difference in how the two artists draw that its not traced.
And note I hope all who read the comments realize there’s a finite number of poses out there, yes they could have changed the buildings / made the car red / lifted the right instead of the lift fore hoof and even made the belly lower but eh, we’ve been entering a phase where there’s so much art that some may look like they were traced but aren’t.
>Note to the steadfast critics: No I do not support “direct line tracing”, or where someone will call themselves an artist an take comm’s but are in-fact just coloring over another’s work directly like though its a page in a coloring book, such acts are wrong and need to be dealt with.
>Then of course there are bases, be they F2U or P2U, and the artist whom made them will have their own rules of use.
