Huh. So it seems Opaline’s actually a little insecure about her parenting. Not enough to, say, try to do better, but it’s something.

Well for one, she actually has a job and doesn’t keep herself in her own home like a loser!

I really wish she hadn’t gone back to the castle. I’m hoping that Hitch can find her and perform some sort of intervention before Opaline does something rash—again.

Well let’s keep in mind that Opaline’s only companion is Misty. Unlike Misty, who is friends with Sunny and the rest. Opaline has probably been alone in the castle for years and her social relations have weakened. When she found Misty, she finally got out of loneliness, and because she only has Misty, Opaline doesn’t want her to be in a relationship with anyone else. SHe thinks that as long as he exists, Misty does not need another horse. Because she cannot be with anyone else. Maybe this is the reason for her strictness and rudeness with Misty.

I’m guessing that Opaline is as much a shut in as Misty. In her tiny mind she believes she is the rightful God of Equestria and expects everyone to bow to her. Misty does, because abuses child knows no different. But if Prunaline tried that shit with an entire society of Jedis with headspears she would be laughed at. Then repeatedly stabbed.

She treated Misty with dignity and respect, give her a much needed makeover and showed her the genuine honest to goodness kindness you’ve denied her the entire time she’s been stuck with you.

Well, kindness is probably the major thing
