Iirc she is called that mostly because of her tomboy personality as “taro” is usually a boy’s name.

Thanks, came here for the translation. My Kanji recognition is terrible but I knew Suko, if not what it meant in this context. I always want to translate as much as can for myself when I find Japanese in the wild like this.

This is a cute drawing though, hope they do more.
