Pretty much by definition, those 300 accounts are of people who actively use the site (since they requested the change), Which would be very unlikely to be the case if, say, 300 people were randomly moved over
Those changed have an additional likelihood of being more active than usual because several of them explicitly wished to bring their points over to NLR (ie most people probably didn’t change just to get a different badge)
@Dragonpone
Reminder that 300 surplus was out of a total of roughly 420.000 accounts, meaning a 0.08% advantage. Not 8%, 0.08%.
(Using Princess Celestia’s own posted numbers here, if those were wrong feel free to correct us both).
I don’t even really mind the staff asking favors from top-scorers to help Princess Celestia’s team, since otherwise the event would have been decided in the first 5 minutes, but please don’t try to pass it as some well-deserved compensation for NLR having some significant starting numerical advantage.
Anyway, may the best Princess win, shenanigans or not.
@GreyGears
Reminder that NLR has a ~300 person surplus over SE from switches and the only thing that favors SE was 1 person agreeing to switch under the same exact ruleset
Sssssh.
It’s not “rigged”, it’s “to keep things interesting”.
Yes it’s only going in one direction, and always in the direction favored by the staff, but that’s purely a coincidence. Honest.
