You may not think it, but this little guy might be the secret weapon needed to defeat Ovaltine Opaline.

In “Growing Pains” Sparky demonstrated some kind of earth-pony-like magic with that tree.

And Opaline’s castle has a giant tree growing through it.
If Opaline captures Sparky and he uses that magic on the tree…
Or…if he uses it directly on Opaline and she can’t steal/absorb it…
Or maybe i’m just grasping at straws here in the hope that the writers have a long-term plan for the series that has a satisfying conclusion.
