the world these suits preside in are not of 1940’s Europe. The place they live in is called Wunder, a grimdark plane of existence with. the weapons are different, ammunition is different, the metal used in this is of different composition. not steel. infantry handheld Anti-tank weapons didn’t come until much later in the Great Wunder War.

Technology like the ESHA was not invented by ponies nor gruff but discovered, re-engineered and re innovated. It falls under a complex category of magical and symbiotic armor. since the Sentient presence is not electricity, the armor does not class as power armor. Rather magical.
Wunder has had numerous advanced civilizations presiding eons ago. the detachable Horn or Eisenhorns do get damaged or destroyed in battle but they get replaced quite easily and ones issued with them after often given spares in the event.

You are correct in that the suit is still impractical. It is difficult to turn the neck and the suit is difficulty to control.

i hope that clears some confusion. i will be continuing to create constant lore on the Wunderlands and its inhabitants.

A WWII anti-tank rifle has a penetration power of 33mm at 100 meters, and 15 at 400. Awesome armour but not too practical.

The horn is completely exposed, too. Easy to be shot off for the limited neck movility.
