Description
Twilight planeswalker V1.0. She still needs some work, so suggestions are welcome. Full art credit to the wonderfully talented Jevela.
Switch the power and toughness of up to one target creature until your next turn.
Otherwise you will not be able to activate the ability without a legal target to point it at. That might be intentional though IDK.
No, Twilight. You may not have my permanents.
-7; Twilight, Princess Ascended gains hexproof until end of turn. All players reveal their hands. You may cast any sorcery revealed this way for free. At the end of the turn all players discard all sorceries this ability revealed.
I also feel that flavor-wise, Twi needs to do more spell-based things. Then again, Draw-Discard can be great for digging, and switching P/T makes sense for her crazy magic, but her Ult doesn’t really sound like it would come from Twilight, even as princess.
I’ve had a few ideas, but these aren’t my final ones:
>2UR
>Planeswalker - Twilight
>Loyalty: 4
>+1: Discard up to two instant or sorcery cards from your hand. Twilight deals damage to target creature equal to the total converted mana cost of those cards. (Blast of Genius and Mercurial Chemister inspired. should it be creature OR player? in that case, it would have to be -N)
>-2: Until your next turn, whenever a player casts an instant or sorcery spell, draw a card.
>-6: Twilight deals damage to target player equal to the number of instants and sorceries in your graveyard.
>
?: You get an emblem with “Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, you may pay 1UURR. If UUU was paid, that spell can’t be countered by spells or abilities. If RRR was paid, you may copy that spell up to three times. You may choose new targets for the copies.”
?: Reveal an instant or sorcery card in your hand. Until your next turn, if you cast that spell, it can’t be countered by spells or abilities. At the beginning of the next upkeep after you cast that spell, pay twice its mana cost. If you don’t, you lose the game. (Mana cost includes color.)>+1?: Reveal the top four cards of your library. put all instants and sorceries revealed this way into your hand and the rest at the bottom of your library in any order. (Forbidden Alchemy and Mulch inspired)

er, that’s just my stuff. tl;dr I feel being more spell-based would make much better sense for twilight, though her first two abilities seem fine on their own
Glad I could be of aid. :)
The first ability is, flavor-wise, often characterized as a trasmutative effect (Twisted Image, Inside Out, et al.) This implies that Twilight isn’t just twisting other ponies’ bodies, she’s enjoying it. (After all, she gains loyalty from it.) The second ability is fine. The third ability makes sense in theory (“Everyone be my friend! I command you!”) but is horribly, horribly broken, even for a planeswalker ultimate.
Here’s a possible alternate take:
+1: Any number of target players each draw a card, then discard a card.
-2: Gain control of target permanent until end of turn. Untap it. It gains haste until end of turn.
-6: You get an emblem with “Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, copy that spell. You may choose new targets for the copy.”
all in all, it does need work, but one of the more balanced “custom cards” I’ve ever seen.
But red and blue make purple!
;)
I got out when I realized I had spent $1000 on card packs over the course of a few years and was still a crappy player plus I would never beat the jerks who could put down a couple hundred on a pack or spend hours reading strategy manuals for a card game.
Sold everything I had for $50 and haven’t looked back.
I think perhaps she should start at 4 loyalty too, but make her ultimate -8 in that case.
I would think Blue/White would fit better.
