Just one problem with G5 earth pony magic that everyone has apparently overlooked.

It’s completely indistinguishable from G4’s Kirin magic.

In trying to fix a problem, they replaced it with a different problem.

And yet the typical signs of magical corruption are not seen on her, although it is possible that she is in a pre-corrupted state because TYT may have shown what she will look like as a normal alicorn, with a different horn and more gentle lines on her. It could then mean that she has corrupt magic, not yet fully engulfed by the corruption. I think that if she were to lose repeatedly to Sunny and Mane 5/New Mane 6, like Luna and Stygian, she will succumb to the corruption.

Her final appearance in the final match could be very interesting.

But at the moment it is now clear what will happen in the first clash; Misty will betray the Mane 5, abducting Sparky to the Dark Castle, followed by them. The game “Mane Merge” would have alerted them that an unknown and dark force is out there, but they will be shocked when they see Opaline for the first time. Once Opaline breaks the curse by assimilating the dragon fire within her, she will then attack the Mane 5. She will take their cutie marks, cage them, and then head out to announce her takeover of Equestria. Misty can play an important role - she will choose to help out the Mane 5 at the end. When they learn how to get their cutie marks back, they will attack Opaline - probably in Maretime Bay, as the Unity Crystals will be Opaline’s target.

During the second clash, it will be a true alicorn verse alicorn battle where Sunny will get help from her friends, and maybe Misty will get her cutie mark as a result. It would be nice if the fight moved to the meadow with the naturalized harmony tree right in front of the pegasi of Zephyr Heights and the unicorns of Bridlewood. Maybe it will bring to life the harmony tree if all six successors of the element bearers gather there?

Opaline will be beaten, and driven away, especially if Misty figured out how to stop her magic-stealing ability, and thus the ponies can celebrate their victory over the wannabe tyrant. On the toy front, it is obvious that Opaline will remain in G5 for the following seasons.

And the Mane 5 will become the New Mane 6.

I’m sure everyone has known that part about Opaline having magic corrupted, much like Sombra.

She is an alicorn. The alicorns use earth pony magic, pegasus magic and unicorn magic because they are all three pony modes in one and the same pony. All the princesses in G4 can do the same, but then it was more about muscle power and endurance. Opaline will have no problem using the earth pony magic, although it seems that her magic is corrupted, seemed to be evil of the same kind as seen in the Everfree.

She can. She is just too weak to fight. She may had absorbed enough magic to do things herself. Misty was just a tool to get her full magic back since she needs someone else to get magic for her.

I hope it is a spoiler for CH4. Even An Adventure in Maretime Bay had some spoilers for MYM like earth pony magic.
