Too bad we can’t create misty as stuffed friend at build bear,I would create misty,sunny,Izzy,pipp,and Zipp as my g5 mlp friends,even if these 5 mares cost me over 150 dollars like we got to do with fim ponies,and my favorites of fim were fluttershy,twilight,applejack,rarity,and pinkie pie,later ponies I created were cheerilee,and derpy aka muffins,and the fim ponies are very helpful when I need cheering up,so the g5 ponies I listed would do the same in cheering me up.

The really sad part is, abused children very much have a sort of Stockholm Syndrome in which they just view their parents’ behavior as ‘normal’ and ‘standard,’ and typically blame themselves for any abusive actions their “reaaaaallly strict” parents take. So when the Mane 5 eventually confront Opaline, Misty will (probably) still take Opaline’s side because she sees Opaline as her mother (since Opaline “rescued her as a filly” and is implied to have raised her).
What’s likely to happen is that the Mane 5 will defeat Opaline with some help from Misty, prompting Opaline to disown Misty, which will emotionally shatter her. Misty will need years to truly heal from that. But we get to watch her grow as a person and move on from it, which will be very, very satisfying. <3
They’ll probably also sing a song after defeating Opaline, which may look like a pacing violation if Misty seems all chipper afterwards, but it’ll hit her again, harder, later.

Gosh, Misty is just so precious and her situation is just so damn unfortunate…
Poor mare needs a hug.
I can’t believe the last scene we got with her so far is her breaking down crying.
Hopefully some smiles and love for Misty going forward.
