Let me reframe my statement, cos what you just said it the kind of Celestia I’m okay with. What I don’t like is when you have this and it’s portrayed that Celestia is evil because of it.
Like this art for example. Twilight’s angry for being used, despite everything Celestia might have been to save Luna, but everything had also benefited Twilight without any drawback. I just don’t think a twilights the type of character to get upset about something like that

Parasitic, banditic, if you benefit at the cost of others (positive-negative), selfish - if you don’t care for benefit of who you manipulate but not harm them (positive-neutral). This case is mutually beneficial, symbiotic (positive-positive).

This feels less evil and more just selfish; Twilight benefitted from the whole scenario too, so it’s not like the whole thing was done to hurt her, even though Celestia’s main goal was to get Luna back. If the point of it was for Celestia to have her sister again and hurt Twilight, that would evil. Selfishness is looking out for Number 1; evil is looking out for Number 1 while crushing Number 2.
