Hmm, personally I only remember some groans about it, mostly amusement, but my memory isn’t necessarily the most reliable :)
Since you two have decade+ old accounts, how was the pushback to the inane popular fanons about Lyra having a hand obsession back in the day? Perhaps more pushback would’ve cemented that idea as just some dude’s funny joke rather than a widely-accepted characterization.

Sunny is not Scootaloo. Please, just stop already. Just because their colors are similar doesn’t mean they are the same character (I think the most obvious difference between the two is the fact that one is an Earth pony and the other is a Pegasus).
Well, that would overturn the purpose of toothpaste, unless the ice cream is not sweet.
