Yeah, honestly I figure Celestia would go Daybreaker before she'd let the world be outright destroyed, like there must be some level where the risk of Daybreaker was lower than the risk of apocalypse. The big thing that makes me think this world isn't caused by Daybreaker is that there's no sun: I figure a world destroyed or ruled by Daybreaker would be a flaming, sun-bleached desert like the Glass Desert from Slime Rancher:

I like to think she would keep the term "day" to refer to waking hours, as one final "screw you" to Celestia: "My beautiful night is a better day than Celestia could ever make" kind of affair. Besides, that way everypony could keep their same calendars :P
