Back when Discord first tried to rule Equestria Celestia made a deal with him. He would join her as a co-ruler but they would not marry. Discord believed this wouldn’t make his reign legitimate and added another part to the deal. With an ancient spell he and Celestia would create a fusion between themselves that would one day join them as rulers. With this spell they created Misti. For a while things were better. But when Misti learned why she was created and the future she had chosen for her, she vanished. At the loss of what Discord believed as his own daughter he refused to abide by the deal and caused chaos freely again. Celestia and Luna had no choice but to turn him into stone. Years later after his release Misti returned revealing she had proclaimed herself as a oracle.
