Well, Sonic’s future from 2008 to 2016 were bad. Sonic’s last good game series was the Sonic Rivals series on the PSP and he didn’t get better again until years later when Sonic 4 and Sonic Mania finally showed up.
 
Still that shows us Sonic fans that SEGA is still trying to bring Sonic back.
 
Mania finally fixed Sonic for good and made him awesome again but fans are still waiting for SEGA’s other classics such as Vectorman, Puyo Pop, Panazer Dragoon, Outrun, Skies of Arcaria, and many others that didn’t make another comeback since the original X-Box back in 2005 13 years ago.
 
Yes, 13 years. It’s been THAT long ago. :( SEGA really needs to bring those games back again really soon before SEGA fans forget that those games even exists.

Well, technically, if you look at it from HIS point of view, he’s had a blast even if the player’s suffering. He even had to go through Sonic Heroes’ set of levels once instead of four times. And the Werehog deal? It’s more fun in his perspective.

Well, I’ve enjoyed Sonic since the genesis and I’ve enjoyed many of his games since as well. I feel like, as I’ve said earlier, his so called fall from grace has been greatly exaggerated.
 
One thing I can’t speak for is the fandom. I’ve had next to no experiences there and everything I’ve seen has been disconcerting to say the least.

I have been a fan of Sonic form the start, I have played them all, I know the good one and the Bad one, and you know what, all other that have been fans as long as me are the one you say are the morons but act like the one you say are not, you have no idea what the real Sonic fandom is like, the sane ones are the mostly silent ones.

As for the sonic universe… it’s one huge clusterfuck and i’m amazed that Archie comics actually managed to make out of it something relatively cohersive and keep it running since SATAM.

You don’t have the be a Genesis fan, I just mean the people that actually know what the pre-Adventure games were like tend to not be the morons of the Sonic fanbase, the others I mean are the ones that see then ones before that as bad for not being free-roaming 3D games.

I dont know. While I haven’t dealt with many sonic fans, not into sonic, most seem to me like normal people. They seem like the furries and bronies to me; just a lot of normal people who like something and their fandom has a few bad apples that make everyone else look bad.

The supposed badness of Sonic games is, I feel, blown out of proportion. Generations and colors were pretty good, IMO.
 
Plus, even though everyone seems to hate the Sonic characters/fandom now I personally always found them to be pretty endearing.
