Sunset Shimmer hated Twilight and had signs of jealously as Twilight was Celestia’s student.
She attacked her very personally and even try to kill Twilight and her friends before her redemption.
And Twilight doesn’t have friends with everybody, yes, but actively trying to make Starlight Glimmer new friendships instead of herself and trying to boycott Trixie and Starlight’s friendship? That is contradictory.
Yes, in the beggining, before she get genuine feelings for starlight, Trixie was in competition with Twilight, but she has no forms to know it.
And the Trixie’s case is not the only know.
In What about Discord? Twilight is a complete dumb*ss, and in posterior episodes she expulsed the CMC and lies to Celestia in her (bad) theater actuation.

She purchased the amulet of her own volition with the intent to get revenge on Twilight specifically. She eventually became more manic and crazy as a result of the possession, but her coming after Twilight was Trixie, not the amulet.

Using words like “high treason” doesn’t really mean anything when you’re talking about My Little Pony, and if Twilight cared about power when it came to allies, she’d have cared more about reforming Tirek and Chrysalis. Starlight was a pony with a skewed ideology, and I haven’t watched any of EQG but from what I vaguely know, Sunset was the same way. Neither of them targeted Twilight herself like Trixie did. Twilight may be the Princess of Friendship, but she doesn’t have to be best friends with everyone, especially ponies who go out of their way to screw her over.

God, even Sunset Shimmer tried to kill Twilight, and Starlight almost destroys Equestria. Both are guilt of High Treason and betrayal.
It seems that Twilight want allies with power like Starlight or the Dragons.
For a character titled as Princess of Friendship, she is a least an hypocrite.

At the time of this episode, out of all the villains Twilight fought, Trixie was the only one who attacked Twilight personally and tried to banish her from her own home. Twilight is within her right to hold a grudge.

Almost like it’s a kid show and they make characters randomly act like assholes to show some kind of lesson.

I hated Twilight so much in this episode.
