They should’ve gone with it, but I guess in Boast Busters she was just an antagonist and not a full fledged villain like in Magic Duel. Then again I’m pretty sure that Discord is from Keep Calm and Flutter On, where he was more an antagonist than a villain…

Discord is just being goofy.
Trixie’s smile is too normal.
Chrysalis’s expression isn’t twisted enough.
Sombra is the only one who has any noticeable expression on his face. Although I’d put even more rage on his face.
