Her eyes were changed more or less at the last minute from maroon to kiwi, probably because they thought she needed contrast but really, the red eyes work better for her.

It was such a late decission, that there exists a toy of her that still has her maroon eyes, even and a lot of people draw her with them as a result.

Personally i really do think it works better with red eyes. I just have it as mind canon that her eyes are still maroon but she wears kiwi contacts, a semi-plausable in between of the two. :p
