In the “Mario Bros vs Wright Bros” Epic Rap Battle of History, the Wright Brothers say they are “representing North Carolina”. The Wright Brothers grew up in Dayton, Ohio, where they did all their inventing and small-scale tests. Once they built their plane, they went to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina to fly it because they needed a large, flat expanse of empty land.
Ever since, on state quarters, license plates, and the like, there’s been a but of a fight between the two states claiming credit.
The pony shown is Peanut Bucker, mascot of Trotcon and Ohio bronies in general. She is not pleased that in this particular video, the Wright Brothers are claiming to represent North Carolina. Presumably, she would prefer the line to be “representing Ohio”.
