rue was a last second edition, and only came into existance very recently for family tree purposes. but i have fallen in love with them so hard it’s not even funny

- It was kind of weird for Twilight and Trixie to find out their mom’s were long lost sisters, but family, amiright? well, Trixie certainly made herself comfortable with the title of ‘Twilight’s cousin’ (she tried for sister but Twi wasn’t havin’ it)
Rue and Piers happened to be born very closely to each other, which resulted in the two often being together a lot, ever since they were babies.
what did Rue win here? were they born first? are they the cuter one? are they just better? who knows, whatever it is, they win.
- Rue was Twilight’s student for a short period. the training was very informal, similar to the ‘Twilight Time’ the crusaders went to.
Rue had a particular talent for being able to pick up on their Mama Trixie’s flashy spells very quickly, which was impressive in of itself, not even taking into account their young age. Rue decided that magical talent wasn’t what they were interested in, but did enjoy spending time with Twilght
- as mentioned in their bio, Rue has no idea how they got their cutiemark, as they were unconcious when they got it. this was an extremely stressful and tumultuos point in their life, as they feared ostracation and still had no idea what they wanted to do with their life.
At first, they were too scared to tell anyone about their predicament, but eventually spilled out their emotions to Mother Starlight.
It… didn’t go well. Starlight looks back at her actions in shame and does anything she can to make up for what she did. She really did just want to help…
the whole situation resulted in Rue running away for a few months before they were found and returned home.
- Interrupting the angst for some friends being friends. Rue definitely picks up on their Mama’s penchant for flair, and loved to show off spells, routines, or whatever. Admittedly, they probably performed very poorly, but they had fun doin it.
And, somehow, Rue and Piers stayed friends. They didn’t have much in common, it was really just that they had known each other so long that kept them friends. Though Piers insists she has no idea how she puts up with Rue.
- Rue is BIG. and seemingly unaware of it. Starlight loves them, but how the heck did they get so tall??
- Trixie is best mama. for a while, Rue was the star of her show. admittedly, they got plenty of tips…
- no thoughts head empty
- Rue has a habit of following around Starswirl. At first he finds them as kind of a nusence, but he finds himself growing fond over the strange pony. but they’re still an enigma to him.
