I’ll look up whether or not it’s good, like the hype train is why I tried Undertale, but I avoid plot and gameplay tactics as much as humanly possible. At most I’ll watch someone play the intro level or something. After I beat it I’ll look a bunch of stuff up online and come back looking to like optimize my strategies or whatever. Like, I beat Undertale twice and I still didn’t know about the True Lab until I looked up a lets play after the fact XD

Yeah. The whole reason they even gave her the big shoulders was since the Game Boy version was on a monochrome small screen they needed a way to clearly convey that her suit had changed, so they added the big shoulders. I don’t think they’ve ever deliberately tried to make her look manly :D

True, but Star Tracker hasn’t even got “his” name right.

To be fair, the manual for the original NES Metroid refers to Samus using male pronouns.

They’ve definitely made it more clearly feminine in newer artwork, though her Varia suit always looks fairly male since it has those massive broad shoulders. The Zero Suit is just blatant fanservice though XD

In the original commercial, it’s hard to tell whether its a man or women wearing Samus’s armour in the live action segments. The Super Metroid commercial’s live action segments are more explicit in the protagonist’s gender.

To be fair I’m pretty sure Samus’s armor is unisex

You didn’t say that they were easy or recognizable, you said that they were the main recurring enemy. But, yeah I suppose you’re right in that respect (though there’re a lot of recurring enemies in Metroid).

the stupid part being he is only wrong on the name and gender.

With all the role playing in the comments, I’m starting to want to see a continuation comic of him learning he’s dressed like a girl.

Also, I didn’t say the Metroids were the most easy enemies, I said they were the most recognizable enemies.
