Does anyone know what happened to this artist? They just disappeared one day without a trace, deleting every account they had. It’s very unfortunate, as I really liked their artstyle.

If you do not watch the Equestria Girls movies/specials/shorts, then why bringing Sunset Shimmer into this?
 
While I get that you do not HAVE to “show onscreen” any of her potentially “specific & meaningful contributions” for the internal thinking for Motherly Morning & only focusing on what the other 3 may bring (having Sunset just saying something obvious and/or agreeing with them); then there is the fact that she is the ONLY one with a “proper education” (both on magic in general & for all the “high social” stuff).
 
-> Sunset´s knowledge & wisdom will always be required by the other 3 to help in their current situation… Yet they will never really pay any attention to her “opinions”?  
(only way it would be excusable for Mortherly to be acting totally “out of character” for what may be some of Sunset Shimmer´s unique perspectives about certain things).
 
Sunset Shimmer´s “way of thinking” EVOLVED progressively throughout the movies & specials (even on the last ones), to the point you can actually predict “divergent results” for a given situation that depends on her reaction if you ask “WHEN is this happening in the EQG series?” [not really the case for the rest of the mane six, who all of them have had a rather “elastic” character development for most of the FiM series].

Are you aware of…?  
-> The (relatively recent) “press release” about the unfinished “season 2 finale” 50_minutes “Equestria Girls Special” [that was stopped on mid_production by HASBRO with the sudden cancelation of the series], that would have started the “Season 3 main storyline” regarding to “what happened to the human Sunset Shimmer”.
 
You could just assume that this happens after all of it, with the pony Sunset “passing the torch” to her counterpart by gifting her The Geod of Empathy (given that she still has her own unicorn magic in Equestria).  
Canonicity: -> The inclusion of Sunset´s cameo in the last episode of FiM sugest that she eventually returned in a permanent way [it just simply happened “offscreen” sometime after Twilight´s (second) coronation].

So far as I have written the story I have yet to provide any explanation as to solve such an issue, that being said despite the many flaws and awkward relationship statuses set up by the ponies that are fused together, I had no intention as to actually making such a McGuffin to immediately fix this. the questions and the possibilities to explore these combinations of characters forged from well established ones and some less so.
 
I think that the girls on the other side of the mirror will do just fine. it is not like Sunset or Twilight can’t influence the fusions they are a part of to go through the portal and visit them, though there might be some explaining to do afterward.

Okay so they are all fused somehow, but is there anyway they can separate back into their old selves, mainly because Sunset is still needed in the Human World on the other side of the mirror no doubt.

Its a long story, but basically there are a series of comics in which many cannon and background characters were fused into new alicorn ponies via a potion with mysterious properties. feel free to check my da account if you wanna see the comics that show how it all started
