On that note, I feel like the only reason Hasbro decided to have G5 be a continuation of G4 is likely cause they know that if they put it in a different universe, fans would probably not watch it.
 
So, it might also be a case of Hasbro knowing that G5 will be inferior if put in a different universe. But who’s to say that it’s to be expected.

I’m neutral on G4 and EQG ending, fyi.
Though I probably should’ve made my own quote instead, but honestly, that quote was inspiring.
tbf, some people have good intentions, but unfortunately, there’s always the bad ones. 🤦
You have to expect em in every fandom.
I usually prefer to stay out of stuff like this, but I wanted to put in my two cents. After all, it’s what neutral people do, eh?
One more thing: I do hope G5 succeeds, though I do have my doubts, since G4 was what started the brony fandom. Hell, if FiM wasn’t successful, this site, equestria daily and other MLP fan sites wouldn’t exist. So G5 is gonna have a Tough Act to Follow, in TV tropes terms. But still, I hope G5 succeeds.

Well it seems Hasbro won’t except that either if G5 is indeed continuing G4’s story, albeit far, FAR into the future with completely different characters. Though they might as well do a full on reboot or AU if that’s the case but that’s just me >.>

Why do people hate save EQG “campaigns”? Because of the self entitled emotions they use. Hasbro owes us a proper ending. Hasbro betrayed the fans. No. Hasbro don’t owe you a damn thing. Hasbro put it’s own money into developing a product line and a show in a gamble that it would bring more revenue than it cost. Like all business. If you are a “fan” of the media but have spent zero dollars on the merch then you’re just a parasite and no company owes you a thing. They certainly are not obliged to spend even more money to placate some whiners. No hashtag nonsense will change this.

Well, now it is known that people who do not want to support because, according to what I understand, they are already resigned to the end of the series, others because they have no interest and see the matter unnecessary and those who “are offended” by these requests; And yes, it is true that also on the side of those who make the requests, there are people who are not respectful to Hasbro and other fans, which is not correct and does not help the fandom, and we must avoid that at all costs; However, the point is to respect the proposal that many of us have that we want Equestria Girls to continue and have a well-deserved end, and nothing else.
Very possibly this will be something that will continue, even when Hasbro officially says the situation of Equestria Girls, something that I personally is what I hope and respect, although I will not like it if it is not what we want, but I repeat it, we must respect, and in case of not agreeing, for that we can have conversations, never fight or attack, and well, not be “Party Poppers” before wishes, yes, something strange, but the point is, respect and be responsible.

I know it’s probably not going to happen. And I know some of these fans are misguided and the arguments they use aren’t helping the cause. And I don’t like it when people say that Hasbro “robbed” us. Hasbro owes us nothing, if they want to make a series they make it, and if they want to stop making it, they stop. There’s nothing wrong with that. But still, I don’t understand the amount of hate towards the “Save Equestria Girls” campaign, even completely harmless images promoting it on Derpibooru get lots of downvotes, and harmful comments. I think it’s a good thing that people have dreams, even if they are unrealistic.
 
Just so you know, I’m neutral on this.
 
Though the G4 thing was to be expected, I feel if there was a proper conclusion to EQG, Save EQG would probably still exist, though smaller.
 
Same case for LPS and Transformers.
