As for the appeal of this fetish, there are so many different reasons that people have for being into this. Some do enjoy the perilous side, leaning more towards the “damsels in distress” scenario similar to bondage, others take a liking to the erotic side of it. Some of us have even been in quicksand ourselves, and we enjoy the feeling of being submerged in the thick substance.
 
For me, I was more into the perilous side of things until a certain recurring Background Pony introduced me to the pleasurable side. Quicksand in my images usually takes the form of mud pits or bogs, so it slowly morphed into “fun in the mud” or “relaxing mud bath” scenarios.
 
I will get it out there, it is a VERY niche fetish. Most people not into it find it very difficult to see the appeal. And it’s not really that easy to explain, or at least it isn’t for me. There are a few sites out there dedicated to this (quicksandfans is probably the best one) that could probably explain it better than I can.
