On the plus side there was less angry screaming involved than expected. Still, the next family meeting is going to be awkward.

It’s tnteresting not that the blue pony (her husband?) never said a single word, not even a hello or goodbye. Means that he either doesn’t care about what happened or has gotten used to it.

I can’t speak for the arc itself, but Candy was certainly confirmed as transgender and hinted as Pinkie’s descendent well before Season 9.
