now I wonder what Discord’s status there.

I like the idea that the Elements of Harmony rebirthed and manifested themselves into the statue of mane six since the mane six are basically Elements of Harmony now.

Dead yes. But they probably are Legends! And what better immortality than everyone knowing your name?

That moment when you realize that in G5, the Mane Six may have been all dead for eons.

You know…all this discussion of G5 being a successor to G4 (And subsequent talks of how peace was not everlasting) is reminding me of this little conversation from AoU:

It would never work with the mane six.  
-> Celestia had the same problem: After “defeating” Nightmare Moon, she accidentally interrupted the “bond” they had with the “rupies” [Luna being “attuned” to 3 of the 6: “Charity”, “Devotion” & “Optimism”]; shattering them in a way that was irreversible.
 
This is why Twilight´s attempts of forcibly re-assembling Applejack´s Element did not worked (but later the Student Six could make the shards/pieces “lock” with no problem); their “attunement” was not a renew of an old bond (like the Rainbow Power), but something entirely new.

Good money if they go to Canterlot we will see the statue there. Covered in vines and abandoned.

In my theory where the action takes place many years after the mane six, this is just a statue with hidden magic within it. As i consider Sunny a main character who’s gonna discover something from the past

Is that just a statue or have they been turned to stone? Imagine the reactions if this is set in the future and there’s a statue like that in the movie…

That’s a good question. They should at least try to reconstruct them after they got destroyed, like they did with the Crystal Heart. I guess it’s because it would go against the message of the episode, that the mane 6 don’t need them, and have the magic of friendship that will defeat any villain within them.

They were destroyed and reconstructed in “Friendship is Magic part 2”, so after they got destroyed by Sombra, they can be reconstructed again.

Did people forget the Elements were destroyed?
